Increased employee productivity and faster customer service are two of the benefits garnered by this KFC chain’s POS hardware/software upgrade.

As part of a corporate-wide software standardization process, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) was looking for ways to deliver an improved, efficient POS transaction for its customers. KFC locations operate on a franchise system, and everything, from the taste of the biscuits to the experience at the counter, is designed for consistency, no matter the location. Thus, Weaver Enterprises Ltd., a Peoria, IL- based operator of 24 KFC restaurants in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin, was faced with upgrading its existing POS infrastructure to the new common software platform. The franchisee reached out to business partner Kyrus for help.
