Timed to fulfill Super Bowl order rush, Tracker app takes pizza ordering to a whole new level.

Now, customers can track their pizza delivery using the Domino’s Tracker app and their Samsung Smart TV, according to a press release. Rolled out just in time for the Super Bowl – one of the busiest days of the pizza business – the tracker app allows customers to track their order each step of the way, from order, to baking, to delivery, all without turning away from the TV.

"Domino's is always looking for ways to continue innovating and using technology to benefit our customers," Kevin Vasconi, Domino's Pizza chief information officer, said in the release. "We are thrilled to bring our customers yet another added convenience using Domino's Tracker. Football fans can track their game day meal via their Samsung Smart TV and stay tuned into the big game at the same time."

According to Connectedly, the feature, available for use with 2014-or-newer Samsung Smart TVs, overlays Domino's pizza-assembly-and-delivery-status tracker onto the bottom of the screen, allowing customers to track the progress of their order from initial preparation to baking to arrival at the door.

Even better, for those who have established a Domino’s account online, the Domino’s Tracker feature works on its own without needing a companion app on your phone. The widget may be downloaded from the Samsung TV App Store (under the Lifestyle category). Users then need to enter a phone number, which will enable tracking on the TV.

Smartphone users can even send order details to a Samsung TV on the same Wi-Fi network. The tracker also comes in two sizes: a large tracker that takes up about the bottom 1/5 of the screen, or a more compact one that sits along the bottom edge.

"As the market leader in TV innovation, Samsung is excited to be the first to offer Domino's Tracker to our customers, just in time for the biggest game day of the year," said Brad Trullinger, Samsung director of content and product solutions.

This marks the first time that Domino's Tracker is available on any television platform.
