Unicru and TimeManagement Corporation Partner

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 27, 2003-- Partnership formed to integrate employee selection and management solutions to optimize workforce performance for the hospitality industry Unicru, Inc. and TimeManagement Corporation today announced they will partner to provide joint customers in the hospitality industry with a complete labor solution to manage the employee lifecycle. The two companies plan to interface the Unicru Workforce Selection and Optimization System with TimeManagement's TMx(TM) labor management software to increase operational efficiency by significantly reducing the time hospitality managers spend recruiting, hiring and administering employees, allowing them to focus on guest satisfaction. As Unicru's newest Employment Solution Provider (ESP) partner for labor management and scheduling, the companies are deploying the joint solution at Rock Bottom, a Colorado-based chain of restaurant breweries. "Unicru has increased the efficacy of our hiring process by helping us quickly and intelligently find and hire the best employees for our environment," said Ted Williams, Senior Vice President of Operations at Rock Bottom. "As we introduce the joint solution to our managers, we look forward to further reducing the time they spend on employment processes as employee data interfaces between TMx and Unicru, allowing us to improve the hiring process and increase employee performance." How will it work? With a combined TMx/Unicru system, job candidates will use the Unicru solution to complete an electronic job application and custom-designed assessment questions via an on-site application center or the customer's Web site. Upon completion of the application and assessment, responses will immediately be transmitted to Unicru's secure database where they will be processed and evaluated against criteria derived from successful employees. The hiring manager will use a Web desktop to review pre-hire summaries, including an easy-to-read completed application form and a candidate report recommending follow-up interview questions. Once an employee is hired, the Unicru solution will automatically send the employee's data to the TMx system, which manages labor scheduling, labor forecasting, and time and attendance. Restaurant employees are often hired to perform multiple jobs, with each position paying a unique hourly rate. As a result, the Unicru system passes the employee information and corresponding positions and wage information to the TMx system. This data integration significantly reduces restaurant managers' administrative time as it eliminates the need for manual and multiple data entries. In addition, in the future, performance data such as sales per employee and sales per shift that are collected by TMx will be integrated into Unicru's closed-loop reporting system to both refine its behavioral assessments and run analyses that will improve the employer's ability to select sales-oriented employees. TMx is a comprehensive, best-of-breed software suite that is integrated with the point-of-sale terminal to help eliminate early or late clock-ins and clockouts. Its modular design enables restaurateurs to create a custom solution to help manage operations more effectively while reducing labor costs and improving the bottom line. TMx represents over 17 years of refinement responding to the evolving needs of over 3,800 hospitality operators.
