TPG Wins Developer Of The Year Award
Providence, RI - Rhode Island-based real estate developer/hotelier, The Procaccianti Group (TPG), has received the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) 2006 Developer of the Year Award, for its InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza. The Developer of the Year Award is given to hotels achieving distinction in hotel development. IHG is believed to be the world's largest hotel group by number of rooms.
The Procaccianti Group is one of six developers selected for this award in 2006. "The InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza is a spectacular property, and it is a tremendous distinction to be recognized by InterContinental Hotels Group," stated James Procaccianti, President and CEO of The Procaccianti Group.
The company was honored at a special ceremony held during the 2006 IHG Americas Investors & Leadership Conference in Toronto, October 4 and 5, 2006. Brad Boland, Regional Operations Director of The Procaccianti Group, accepted the award. "I am pleased to honor The Procaccianti Group with the Developer of the Year Award," said Steve Porter, president, the Americas, IHG. "Winners in this category demonstrate the highest standards in hospitality development."
More than 3,500 franchise owners, operators, and company officials attended the 2006 IHG Americas Investors & Leadership Conference.
