Irvine, CA /PRNewswire/ - SMC Networks, a leading provider of advanced, high performance networking solutions for the SMB and enterprise markets, today announced it has joined Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG), a global trade association that fosters, through collaboration and partnership among hoteliers and technology providers, the development of next-generation solutions that will enable them to do business globally in the 21st century.

"We are excited to announce our membership with HTNG as it provides us with a new forum to demonstrate SMC's technology and will enable us to grow the awareness of the value that our solutions deliver to the hospitality industry," explained Keith Alexis, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at SMC Networks. "Over the years, SMC has developed a reputation among its partners for delivering to market networking solutions that deliver an unbeatable combination of performance, reliability, features, and value and our membership in HTNG will allow us to introduce the hospitality industry to the advantages that SMC's innovative solutions deliver."

"The addition of prominent technology companies such as SMC Networks to our membership is critical in fulfilling our mission to facilitate the development of technology models for the hospitality industry that foster innovation, improve the guest experience, and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of hotels," stated Douglas Rice, Executive Vice President and CEO of HTNG. "Our organization provides a forum through which hospitality establishments and technology companies can dialogue in a mutually beneficial environment to bring to market solutions that increase revenues and operating efficiencies for hotel operators."

Alexis also feels that through SMC Networks' membership in HTNG it is fulfilling a responsibility to the industry on whole.
