Los Angeles, CA - Zippertubing is proud to announce the addition of "Shielded-PRT" a revolutionary new EMI-shielded wrap-around heat shrinkable tubing product. "Shielded-PRT" combines the advantages of heat shrinkable polyolefin tubing (Mil-I-23053/5), the convenience of Zippertubing's wrap-around products and outstanding high frequency EMI shielding protection. "Shielded-PRT" possesses the identical Z-3250-CN, Z-Cloth EMI shield as our highly successful Shrink-N-Shield product. "Shielded-PRT" is available in sizes for round cables ranging from 1/8" to 2" OD.
"Shielded-PRT" is a way to provide additional EMI shielding or to repair damaged shielded cables, without removing the connector or associated electrical connections. Installation is easy, simply wrap "Shielded-PRT" around your cable, remove the adhesive release liner and adhere to create a continuous tube. A heat gun is used to recover the material in the same fashion as standard non wrap-around, heat shrinkable tubing.
