The new Firebox recessed lighting unit is designed to make fire-rated recessed applications easier, more cost effective, and UL-compliant.
The lighting is designed in a single, self-contained housing unit that eliminates the need for construction enhancements. The unit installs like any other recessed fixture and is UL-compliant, simplifying the approval process for building inspectors.
The light fixture is UL Classified for L500 series non-IC fire-rated floor/ceiling assembly with a fire rating of one hour or less and is UL Listed as a recessed incandescent fixture.
According to the manufacturer, the product offers a simple and safe alternative for light commercial recessed applications including those for hospitality and assisted living facilities.
