Schloss & Gut Liebenberg Chooses Mews To Fully Digitalize Operations

Historic German property embarks on digital transformation with Mews to empower staff, enhance guest experiences, and drive operational efficiency

Mews, the leading operating system for hospitality and shared spaces, has been chosen by Schloss & Gut Liebenberg, a unique property in the north of Berlin, to power its digital transformation and introduce a new era of hospitality for guests and staff.

Schloss & Gut Liebenberg, owned by Deutsche Kreditbank (DKB Foundation), is known for its 63 rooms set across a castle and lake house, hosting weddings and business events, in a picturesque, historic setting. The estate is also recognized as one of the largest employers of people with disabilities in the Berlin region and for its various nonprofit projects carried out by DKB STIFTUNG, making its mission and operations truly unique.

New General Manager, Christian Rex, joined Schloss & Gut Liebenberg earlier this year and brings extensive Mews experience from his previous role at Paulinenhof. Under his leadership, the Schloss & Gut Liebenberg team is embracing a total modernization of its hotel operations – introducing a fully digital, cloud-based platform.

“Switching to Mews means we’re changing processes in every department – a 180-degree shift from what we’re used to”, added Christian Rex, General Manager of Schloss & Gut Liebenberg. “For years, we’ve relied on manual and time-consuming methods. Now, we’re looking forward to our team working on tablets, automating daily tasks, and focusing on what really matters: delivering exceptional experiences for our guests.”

Matt Welle, CEO of Mews, commented: “We’re thrilled to partner with Schloss & Gut Liebenberg as they embark on this ambitious transformation. Their commitment to inclusion and guest experience is inspiring, and we’re excited to provide the tools that will empower their team.”

The transition to Mews will enhance operations across PMS, POS, RMS, and Housekeeping Operations with Flexkeeping, with plans to introduce Mews Gift Vouchers. The team will use Mews University for onboarding and training to ensure a smooth implementation for staff adapting to the new processes, with the move expected to significantly enhance efficiency, guest service, and occupancy. Having worked with Mews before, Rex added that “returning to Mews feels like coming home”.
