Radixx Shadow Database
Features
- Secured private data in a relational database (data warehouse)
- Standard report writers can be used for analyzing data
- Full history available online for any PNR
- No additional cost for running reports or scenarios
- Data can be mined for trends and forecasts
- Frequent Flyer information can be augmented without using GDS hosted information (email addresses, multiple phone and fax numbers, etc.)
- Airlines use their own data without relying on third party sources
- Data is available in real-time
The Shadow Database robotic application can also augment the PNR data provided by the GDS with additional specialized pricing data by querying the originating GDS. This assumes that the data is available through a standard mechanism provided by the GDS. The resultant PNR is then booked against the Shadow Database, which is a replica of the live system. The Shadow Database will automatically create flights and inventory for PNRs that cannot be matched against the configured inventory as it assumes that all bookings placed in the queue represent the true inventory.
Once the data is booked in the Shadow Database, standard Radixx tools may be used for viewing and processing the data or new utilities can be developed to perform specialized functions. The Shadow database is implemented on Oracle. Standard report writer tools capable of attaching via a SQL interface (or views provided for that purpose) can be incorporated easily.
