Radisson announces new president appointed by Radisson Hotels & Resorts Latin America
Radisson Hotels & Resorts Latin America, the Miami-based franchise development partner of Radisson Hotels & Resorts for Central and South America, today announced Nabil G. Achkar as President. Achkar is responsible for overall strategies, operations and development for the company, which includes 10 hotels in Central and South America.
A 25-year veteran international hospitality, he has lived and worked on four continents including the Middle East/Africa; Europe, North and South America. Most recently, Achkar was Managing Director for Westmont Hospitality, a strategic partner of Goldman Sachs and the largest privately owned hotel company, overseeing divisions in Europe, the United States, and most recently Canada.
Prior to that, he developed the franchise business of Choice Hotels
(Comfort/Quality/Clarion) in Europe as managing Director for Europe from 1993 to 1996. Before that he worked at Holiday Inns in the Middle East in various positions as General Manager to Regional Director. He managed Crowne Plaza Hotels in the United States before becoming Vice President Crowne Plaza Hotels for the Americas.
