If you're a VAR selling all-in-one solutions to the hospitality market, you know how tough the competition is. As features like fanless operation, solid-state memory, and hot swappable disk space become pervasive, opportunities with less competition in new markets are being created. These all-in-one experts share their thoughts on where the new opportunities lie. According to Michael Flores of Pioneer POS, Tim Becerra of Posiflex, Scott Johnston of Touch Dynamic, and Keith Schroer of Partner Tech, a variety of growing markets are very well suited for all-in-one solutions.

There are many different applications of all-in-one touch screen technology in the gaming market [e.g. game-side for dealers, behind the counter for cashiers]. Therefore, VARs need to offer either a single versatile solution to meet all of the applications or customized solutions for each unique application.

We are seeing success with all-in-ones being used in kiosk implementations across multiple verticals including healthcare, retail gift registry, and point of service. The hottest market we see emerging is healthcare, including assisted living facilities and other related healthcare facilities.

In the last year, we've seen a large increase in the number of digital signage installations using all-in-ones. Depending on the vertical, retailers change their paper signage every three to four weeks. The cost of developing the content remains static; however, the cost of shipping is 100% eliminated with digital signage.
