Pixel Magic Imaging Provides Photo Kiosks To Carnival Cruise Lines
San Marcos, TX - Pixel Magic Imaging (Pixel Magic), a leader in digital imaging solutions and photo kiosks, announced it has been chosen by Carnival Cruise Lines to provide photo kiosks on its entire "Fun Ship" fleet.
Carnival Cruise Lines has selected Pixel Magic's popular iStation 150, which will be tailored to meet specific needs for the line's shipboard infrastructure and guest needs. Pixel Magic is incorporating Carnival's ‘Sail and Sign' card payment system to handle purchases from guests while traveling onboard, making it quick and easy for guests to order photos from their digital cameras. The systems will be printing to the MegaPixel III, which is well-known in the industry for creating high quality digital photos and doing so in a matter of seconds per print. Carnival Cruise Lines is planning to build upon the Pixel Magic Imaging solution in the near future in order to provide connectivity to their Konica and Noritsu digital minilabs.
"We've worked with Pixel Magic for several years and have looked to them for assistance in providing our guests with cherished memories of their ‘Fun Ship' cruise," said Bob Woodry, vice president of Carnival's photo and communication services. "They've always delivered a quality product and have been very flexible in creating customized solutions unique to the shipboard environment. We know that our guests will be extremely pleased with the quality of their photos, which are an important part of any vacation."
"We are pleased to continue growing our business with Carnival, a company that has long recognized the importance of providing high quality photo services," said George Briggs, chief executive officer of Pixel Magic Imaging. "The use of our latest technology featuring auto image enhancements will further improve the high quality standards set by Carnival for its guests."
In June of 2004, Pixel Magic Imaging announced it received a substantial investment from Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) (TSE: 7912) and Altech ADS Co., Ltd. (Altech) (TSE: 9972).
In February of 2004, the company was honored to receive the Digital Imaging Marketing Association's award for the top Stand-Alone Photo Kiosk at the Photo Marketing Association Convention held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The PMA show is the largest photography convention in the country.
Pixel Magic Imaging's line of photo kiosks include several new benefits introduced at the PMA show including cameraphone printing, Print2Store™ capability, which allows consumers to order prints online and have them printed at their local retail store, and Pixel Perfect Pictures™-- a combination of improved software, printing and media technologies that together drastically and automatically improve image quality.
