Philadelphia's Sheraton University City To Offer SuiteLinq In All Guest Rooms

Exton, PA - Philadelphia's Sheraton University City, a Meyer Jabara managed hotel, will deploy the SuiteLinq desktop solution in all 318 of its guest rooms this fall. SuiteLinq, a custom-designed web-based portal, gives hotel guests access to broadband Internet, interactive guest services, local information, entertainment content, productivity software and more via an in-room thin-client computing appliance.

SuiteLinq was deployed in 206 rooms at the Sheraton University City in early 2006. The decision to install SuiteLinq in all of the remaining rooms at the property follows months of vocal and enthusiastic feedback from guests. "We survey and respond to our customer demands on a regular basis," states Sheraton General Manager, Ken Kapikian. Over the past few months, our property has received repeated compliments about SuiteLinq ranging from ‘I was delighted by it' to ‘I want that in my room the next time I stay here'. What's more, we've seen a noticeable increase in occupancy and repeat business that I believe is directly attributable to SuiteLinq's impact. It truly is an unforgettable experience staying in a SuiteLinq room; one that both we and our guests recognize is a major differentiator from our competition. Right now, we simply are receiving so many guest requests for SuiteLinq equipped rooms that installing throughout the property is mandatory."

SuiteLinq's CEO, Joseph Mustilli, believes that the demonstrated demand from guests is the company's best sales story. "We've known for a long time that SuiteLinq delivers the ultimate guest experience and creates tremendous value for host properties. Now, with our pilot installation demonstrating quantifiable return on investment for the Sheraton University City, we believe there is a very compelling business case here. The hospitality industry is beginning to recognize that the customer is now truly king. Keeping them satisfied may keep your property in business, but truly delighting them with an in-room experience that is relevant, entertaining, and personalized is what distinguishes you from the rest and generates loyalty. Naturally, we're very happy to be expanding our services to all guests at the Sheraton University City."

Deployment of the additional rooms at the property will begin in this quarter and will include a newly enhanced portal design and interactive services offering.
