Online Minibar Management System
The system makes it possible to hookup a hotel's minibar to the Internet. Hotels then receive automatic email reports that pinpoint exactly which rooms need to be serviced and to concentrate resources on only these rooms. In addition, the developer states that the reports can help hotels plan and benchmark labor use, both at a property level and at a corporate level.
For each subscribing hotel, all reports are sent to the designated manager in charge of minibar operations. To help save time and costs, the daily reports act as a "to do" list for waiters and other staff. The reports are available daily and contain MS Office compatible graphical data. Hotels also have the option of receiving weekly and monthly reports and may create a mailing list for any reports.
Hotels require an email account, a Web browser and a printer to implement the system. The provider connects a hotel's minibars to the Internet and administers the system for a facility. Information from the minibars is processed centrally and delivered to as email reports. Subscribers can easily change the scheduling, recipients and mailing lists for their email reports at any time.
