NTN Communications launches trivia quiz show and promotion program
The new program, entitled "Gotta Play Tuesday" continues NTN Network's strategy of attracting additional players as well as broadening its range of consumers to its hospitality locations. By capitalizing on its proven formula of live, interactive quiz show programming, combined with the current interest in network television game show competitions, NTN Network will offer a range of promotions in the most popular game formats. The company will also introduce newly formed game league activities to increase business within NTN restaurant and bars on Tuesday nights when traditional restaurant and hospitality traffic counts are among the lowest for the week.
The cornerstone to the Company's "Gotta Play Tuesday" line-up, will be the re-release of a new, updated 90-muniute version of Showdown(r), the most popular Prime-Time interactive trivia game on the network. The new Showdown format will feature an additional 30 minutes of game play time for trivia enthusiasts, added questions, NTN player profiles, fact screens, special rankings and Quarterly League Competitions. Prizes will be given quarterly and annually to the top locations and players.
To tap into the network of devoted trivia players, NTN Network will be establishing five Showdown leagues of varying levels- Premier, Gold, Silver Bronze and Open. Winners of each league will be awarded a range of prizes including merchandise and Network-wide recognition.
"Our new 'Gotta Play Tuesday' programming and promotional initiative is designed to breathe life back into what is typically the quietest day of the week for the restaurant and hospitality industry, while also extending the NTN strength of interactive community," said Mark deGorter, president and COO of the NTN Network. "The revitalization of NTN's most popular games will keep loyal patrons enticed while also attracting new customers to the trivia frenzy.
By keeping patrons engaged and entertained for up to four hours within an establishment, they will increase revenue for restaurants and bars from an otherwise slow evening. We believe we can justify the NTN Network to a hospitality location for the entire week, based solely on the increased traffic, activity and revenue generated from Tuesday night alone.
Anything beyond that is pure upside to the location."
