Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa Names Jill Flynn Director of Human Resources and Appoints Jane Brophy Director of Rooms

"We are equally pleased that Jane Brophy, with her extensive hotel and restaurant leadership and background, has joined us and we welcome her to the team."
Reporting to Fallon, Flynn's new responsibilities include identifying staffing needs and managing the employment process; management of compensation and benefit plans; supervising a performance appraisal system; training and development; and employee communications and relations.

Flynn brings more than 20 years of hospitality industry experience to her new position. Prior to joining the Mystic Marriott where she supervised sales and marketing activities leading up to, and following the hotel's opening in 2001, she served as general manager of the Centennial Inn Suites. She also has been in numerous sales related positions with Konover Hotel Corporation, from sales manager to director of sales and marketing. Flynn's assignments have included positions with Holiday Inn in Illinois and Hartford, CT, as well as the Sheraton Hotel at Bradley International Airport in Hartford. She is a graduate of Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL.
Jane Brophy, as newly appointed director of rooms, brings a wealth of experience from the Hilton Mystic, where she served as assistant general manager, and the Providence Marriott Hotel in Rhode Island, where she was the front office manager and director of services. A 1988 graduate of Johnson & Wales University, Jane held restaurant management positions with Pot au Feu Restaurant and Federal Reserve Restaurant in Providence before joining the Marriott. In her new position at the Mystic Marriott, Jane will oversee the housekeeping, front office, guest services, central laundry and security departments. She is additionally responsible for implementing and managing the hotel's goal communications, including the Marriott Standards of Product and Performance.
