Marriott To Open Courtyard Hotel In Suffolk, Virginia
Washington, DC - Marriott International, Inc. is scheduled to open the 92-room Courtyard by Marriott in Suffolk, Virginia on Wednesday, May 30, 2007. Located at 8060 Harbour View Boulevard, the Courtyard Suffolk will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Tidewater Hotels and Resorts of Virginia Beach, Virginia. The owners will also open another Marriott property on the same site, the TownePlace Suites Suffolk.
Located 23 miles from the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport, 27 miles from Norfolk International Airport and 15 minutes from downtown, the Courtyard Suffolk offers guests convenient access to the Northern Suffolk Technology Corridor, the Suffolk Center for the Cultural Arts, Constant's Wharf Park, the Pavilion Harbor Center, Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, the Children's Museum of Virginia, Colonial Williamsburg, historic Jamestown and Yorktown. Rates begin at $129 per night.

The three-story hotel offers 705 square feet of meeting space to accommodate small meetings and functions of up to 50 people. Other guest facilities and services include the Courtyard Cafe restaurant, serving breakfast and dinner, an indoor swimming pool with whirlpool spa, exercise room, guest laundry and business center.
Courtyard guest rooms feature either a king-size bed or two queen-size beds, a seating area with sofa bed or oversized chair, a large, well-lit work desk and two telephones equipped with data ports. The Courtyard Suffolk features three suites with a king-size bed, refrigerator and microwave oven. Other in-room amenities include coffee maker, hair dryer, iron with ironing board, and cable television with a free premium movie channel. The hotel is the latest hotel to offer Marriott's new, more luxurious bedding, which features plusher mattresses, custom comforters, crisp linens, fluffier pillows, and a new, fresh, white look.
