"At Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley, our goal is to deliver first class hospitality to every guest," said Marcus Wareing, Chef and Owner. "We rely on effective systems in our back of house including ResPAK and InfoGenesis POS to help our front of house team reach our goal. We are not using every facet available to us yet, but with these systems we are already seeing an improvement in how we work. We see the value of accurate records and the benefit of accurate billing even for a business as small as ours." Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley has implemented:
- InfoGenesis POS by Agilysys, an enterprise-ready point-of-sale solution that combines powerful reporting and configuration capabilities with an easy-to-use touch-screen terminal application.
- ResPAK for dining reservations and table management to help personalise guest service.
For many establishments, this approach is used to combine personalised service with accurate real-time inventory and cost control, to help optimise stock, reduce waste and better understand margins. "The economic climate means it is more imperative than ever for hospitality businesses to focus on great guest service and improved efficiency, and especially new businesses that cannot afford not to be as streamlined as possible," said Tina Stehle, senior vice president and general manager of Agilysys Hospitality Solutions Group. "A major benefit of Agilysys solutions is they deliver the same business advantages whatever the size of your business or its requirements."
One of Britain's most talented chefs, Marcus Wareing opened his eponymous restaurant at The Berkeley in September 2008. As a fine dining establishment, the restaurant was keen to print bespoke customer receipts on high quality paper, using a layout and font of its choosing. Working closely with The Berkeley, this was eventually achieved by adding a special program to change the layout sent via InfoGenesis POS, creating unique and elegant receipts that further reflect the restaurant's fine dining ethos.
In addition to working with Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley, Agilysys solutions are used by Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester; both establishments have been awarded two Michelin stars.
