Lucky Strike Lanes And Lounge Selects HotSchedules Enterprise For Restaurant Labor Management

HotSchedules recently announced that Lucky Strike Lanes and Lounge, an upscale and ultra-hip bowling alley and lounge, has selected its Enterprise restaurant labor management for its 17 locations across the U.S. Lucky Strike began the rollout and training of HotSchedules online labor management solution in January 2008 and was fully deployed by April 2008.
Prior to selecting HotSchedules, Lucky Strike knew it needed to replace its outdated employee scheduling system, managed through spreadsheets. This paper-based process meant that managers would have to sift through dozens of various pieces of paper every week to process schedule, shift change or time-off requests from the staff, increasing the likelihood that managers would miss one or more employee requests. Additionally, employees would be required to come in, often on their days off, just to check their schedule for the upcoming week.
With HotSchedules' user-friendly, online scheduling solution on board, Lucky Strike managers have significantly reduced the time it takes to develop more accurate staff schedules and approve shift changes. HotSchedules also allows employees to quickly log on to the employee portal or receive text messages via mobile phone to check their schedules or make shift changes, which has increased employee satisfaction. Lucky Strike managers also utilize HotSchedules' period planning and forecasting tools, as well as receive overtime warnings reports and track labor savings.
Lucky Strike managers use HotSchedules as a way to quickly and effectively communicate with staff, such as new promotions or employee announcements, instead of giant staff meetings to make just one announcement. Additionally, the Lucky Strike corporate team utilizes HotSchedules to track schedules and monitor valuable labor dollars.
"Since implementing HotSchedules, Lucky Strike employees have found staff scheduling to be much less cumbersome due to significantly reduced paperwork and the ability to do everything online. We have also noticed that the communication between managers and employees has greatly improved," said Paul Tognetti, POS manager, Lucky Strike Lanes and Lounge. "We look forward to utilizing more of HotSchedules restaurant labor management capabilities in the coming months."
"We are pleased that Lucky Strike has selected HotSchedules as its labor management solution," says Ray Pawlikowski, President and Co-Founder, HotSchedules. "We welcome them to our family of customers and look forward to providing them with significant time and labor savings in the years to come."
Lucky Strike also plans to fully implement HotSchedules Digital Logbook across its entire chain.
