High-speed Internet Access for Hotels

The STSN high-speed Internet system is designed to Internet access up to 300 times faster than dial-up access to each of a hotel's guest and conference rooms. The system is a plug-and-play service that allows guest to connect to the Internet without reconfiguring their laptop settings. For access, a guest plugs into a STSN box (pictured here) located in guest and conference rooms and launches their browser. All boxes are equipped with a USB Port and Ethernet cable, and Ethernet cards are available from the hotel for guests if not built in to the computer. The system also supports traditional modem access.

With this system, each guestroom has the capability to add room control features such as lighting, temperature control, and entertainment upgrades. The provider equips each room with its own firewall, in addition to the one in the hotel, providing guest with a completely secure connection, and helping to protect hotels from liability.

The provider also offers a customized Website for each hotel property that features hotel amenities, business services, and local attractions. The provider can also include conference information on the hotel's Website where attendees can view conference topics, schedules, speaker bios, and download conference speaker notes.

The provider's technical support team can troubleshoot, update firmware globally, obtain information on an entire system, determine which boxes are in use, and perform diagnostics at any hotel from the remote network.
