Ginger/GUSA, Inc.

Source: GINGER
Ginger was founded in 1983 and took form in its offices and showroom on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. The company began as an exclusive importer of Italian faucetry and bathroom accessory lines. French bathroom fixtures were added to the mix shortly thereafter.

Marc Bickler, President, aggressively promoted these lines in the Northeast and made significant inroads into that market. Yet, he saw shortcomings in the products offered by these European manufacturers. Frustrated by their persistent unwillingness to make products adapted to the U.S. market, Marc decided to design and source his own lines which would offer the types of products he felt were needed and would succeed here. It was a significant change of direction in the company and one that would result in tremendous, sustained growth.

The rapid growth of Ginger made it possible to abandon cumbersome lines, such as the French fixtures, and certain slower-moving accessories and faucets. Energy and funds were freed up to create a full range of elegant collections featuring a broad range of intelligently engineered products. With its light and nimble corporate structure, Ginger was able to bring these products to market more quickly than any other company in the industry, and at a moderate price.

In a matter of a few short years, the company went from being a small importer to becoming the leading and most innovative manufacturer of bathroom accessories in the U.S. Our products are specified in some of the most prestigious hotels and resorts in the world. GINGER is also a well-respected provider of product design services and OEM manufacturing.
