Dreampark Makes HD Over IP A Reality For Hoist Hospitality Group

Norrkoping, Sweden - Dreampark, a leading IPTV middleware provider, recently announced an agreement with Hoist Hospitality Group, a supplier of advanced entertainment solutions to hotels, to develop a customized version of its Dreamgallery IPTV middleware enabling Hoist's hotel customers to deliver HD video to guests. Hoist will distribute and sell the system to its customers in Scandinavia and Russia, potentially placing it in more than 15,000 rooms.

Hoist will integrate Dreamgallery into its Eyecom interactive TV system, a multimedia platform offering pay-per-view TV, video on demand and games, among other advanced guest services. With Dreamgallery, it can offer customers the option of delivering HD video over IP to guests as well. The flexibility of Dreamgallery, including multiple tools allowing operators to customize content and channels according to customer demands, was key in Hoist's decision to work with Dreampark. The partnership represents Dreampark's first customer win in the hospitality industry.

"We sought an IPTV middleware solution that would not only allow our customers to deliver an HDTV experience to guests and thereby differentiate themselves from the competition, but would offer value-added services beyond what a guest would experience at home. We found the solution in Dreampark's Dreamgallery IPTV middleware," said Love Möller, product manager, Eyecom, Hoist Hospitality Group. "The speed, user-friendliness, and flexibility of the system perfectly compliments our Eyecom offering, which is also highly scaleable. This combination helps us make our services even more attractive to customers."

Dreampark's IPTV middleware (Dreamgallery) maximizes operator flexibility by taking advantage of the HTML standard. Dreamgallery enables operators to move faster than the competition in order to create unique differentiators, allowing them to base their solutions on standards rather than being locked into a proprietary platform. Through its ability to generate pictures out of templates on the server side, it also offers unprecedented graphical flexibility.

"Hoist serves a market where the ability to remain competitive depends on adapting entertainment offerings to rapidly changing market demands. We developed the Dreamgallery with this in mind," said Per Skyttvall, CEO, Dreampark. "We are pleased that Hoist has recognized Dreamgallery's flexibility toward current and future formats and look forward to working with them as they continue to offer the most innovative guest entertainment services in the market."
