Aptech's Thin Client version of Profitvue to be used in Crestline properties

Aptech Computer Systems, Inc., a leading software and service provider to the hospitality industry, today announced that Crestline Hotels and Resorts, a wholly owned subsidiary of Crestline Capital Corporation, will use Aptech's Thin Client version of Profitvue in 10 of its limited service properties.

Profitvue is Aptech's back-office accounting solution. The Thin Client platform allows for a centralized accounting system in which one corporate-owned server can feed many remote users. End users can send and receive up-to-the-minute data using only a low-cost Internet connection. An additional benefit to the Thin Client version of Profitvue is that costly Citrix equipment is not required.

Because of the Thin Client version of Profitvue, the Crestline corporate office in Bethesda, Md., will be able to provide accounting services to its limited service properties very quickly and with great flexibility.

"The Thin Client version gives us nearly all of the features of the full version of Profitvue but saves us the expense of buying 10 full licenses and the effort of installing new equipment in those properties," said Tory Waterman, vice president/controller of Crestline.

Crestline plans to activate the software beginning in June. Crestline currently runs Profitvue at its corporate headquarters as well as at many of its full-service properties.

"Crestline is an excellent example of the flexibility Aptech offers in meeting each customers' unique needs," said Aptech president Jay Troutman. "Whether it's a new feature or an operating system requirement, we find a way to make our software work for the client. That's just part of our commitment to customer service."
