AlphaNet selects EasyLink to provide upgraded in-room business services functionality

AlphaNet Hospitality Systems, the leading supplier of in-room business services to the lodging industry, and EasyLink Services Corporation, a leading global provider of outsourced messaging services to enterprises and service providers, announced today that EasyLink's Production Messaging Service will provide a significant enhancement to AlphaNet's guest-room business services. The enhanced offering, InnMail Plus, which went live earlier this month, enables guests traveling without a laptop computer to receive, open and print a broad range of e-mail attachments as well as straight text e-mails directly on their InnRoom Business Center-5000 (IBC-5000). AlphaNet Hospitality Systems Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tech Electro (OTC BB: TELE).

With the addition of EasyLink's Production Messaging Service, e-mails with attachments sent to an InnMail address are diverted by the AlphaNet Hospitality Systems server to EasyLink, where the attachments are opened and rendered into faxable form. The opened attachment is then sent back to the AlphaNet server, where it is stored in a temporary mailbox until it is received by the guest for printing on an in-room IBC-5000. The EasyLink service is able to render attachments created in more than 200 programs, including spreadsheets and graphics programs, in addition to word processing.

AlphaNet's IBC-5000, a specialized multifunction machine designed for hotels, provides a private, individualized telephone number for each guestroom. In addition to incoming and outgoing faxes, the IBC-5000 can be
connected to a laptop computer to print plain paper documents from word processing or spreadsheet programs, print guest folios at checkout to eliminate front-desk interaction, print downloads from the Internet and now
print e-mail and their attachments. The InnRoom Business Center-5000 is installed in more than 50% of the luxury hotels in the U.S.

"The addition of InnMail Plus is a significant improvement to the already feature-rich services provided by AlphaNet to our client hotels. This feature enables our client hotels to offer their guests the ability to download and print attached e-mail documents rather than just the text of e-mail messages," explained John Beasley, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at AlphaNet. "For example, guests without laptops can have all their e-mail, including attachments, forwarded to their InnMail Plus address for printing in the privacy of their room 24/7. We foresee a substantial increase in the demand for InnMail services, spurred by this new functionality."

"EasyLink is pleased to provide this important enhancement to AlphaNet's highly regarded InnMail service," commented Bill Fallon, Vice President, Marketing at EasyLink. "Production Messaging Service adds significant value to users of InnMailPlus, while AlphaNet has been spared the delays and capital costs of developing such a system in-house. This is an impressive example of technological synergy between our two companies."
