Epson And Restaurant Magic Announce Strategic Partnership

Integration of Restaurant Magic’s Data Central Software with Epson’s OmniLink Merchant Services will Minimize the Need for Separate and Costly POS Integrations

Recently, at the National Restaurant Association Show (NRA) 2017, Epson America, Inc., a leading supplier of value-added Point of Sale (POS) solutions, announced a partnership with Restaurant Magic, a leading hospitality and restaurant technology provider, to enable Restaurant Magic customers to leverage the real-time, actionable data generated by Epson’s OmniLink Merchant Services (OMS) platform and eliminate the need for having to build and maintain integrations to hundreds of POS systems. Restaurant Magic will be showing the joint solution at NRA, from May 20 to 23, at McCormick Place in Chicago, booth# 6167.

Restaurant Magic’s Data Central business intelligence solution provides restaurant managers with insight and analysis in critical areas such as sales, product mix, purchasing, inventory, workforce, cash and information management, and enterprise reporting. The company’s primary input data source comes from POS data. They currently have a significant number of integrations built for various POS companies and many more yet to build. Leveraging Epson’s OMS to pull critical details into Data Central provides clients with faster implementation times and real-time access to data for valuable insight and eliminates the need for costly POS integrations.

“Epson was an easy choice for us,” said Drew Peloubet, CEO at Restaurant Magic Software. “They own the largest share of the market in receipt printers and offer a unique solution allowing our customers real time access to their data for analysis and decision making. With our Epson Cloud integration, we can provide that access across the spectrum, regardless of their POS solution. We are excited to partner with Epson to provide our joint customers with this world-class solution.”

“We are very happy to partner with Restaurant Magic,” said Gregg Brunnick, director of product management for POS printers, Epson America Inc. “They deliver an innovative and robust business intelligence solution that allows customers the insight and analysis to positively affect food and labor costs, which represent the two largest controllable expenses in hospitality. By bringing together best-in-class solutions from both companies, we make restaurants or multi-unit chains more profitable, which is the ultimate goal.”

About OMS
Epson’s OMS platform addresses the fundamental market challenge of disparate POS solutions and the lack of a common data language in the industry. Epson’s intelligent receipt printers provide a data gateway which drives cloud and mobile solutions to manage inventory, staffing, loss prevention, merchandising, logistics, analytics, loyalty, online ordering and more without having to worry about costly POS integration.
