Epson And AfterWords Announce Strategic Partnership

Integration of AfterWords with Epson’s OmniLink Merchant Services to Improve Business Intelligence and Customer Engagement

Recently, at the National Restaurant Association Show (NRA) 2017, Epson America, Inc., a leading supplier of value-added Point of Sale (POS) solutions, announced a partnership with AfterWords, an intelligent customer engagement and survey system provider who will leverage the real-time, actionable data generated by Epson’s OmniLink Merchant Services (OMS) platform to provide guest centric business intelligence to its customers in the restaurant, hospitality, retail, travel, and service industries. AfterWords will be showing the joint solution at NRA, from May 20 to 23, at McCormick Place in Chicago, booth# 6067.

AfterWords’ intelligent SaaS-based Guest Survey software system delivers questions based on transactional history. It will collect information from the Epson OmniLink printer in real time for the creation of surveys and processing of business intelligence, including details about the guest experience such as specific items purchased, the area where the customer sat, or the individual that helped the customer. This allows service driven companies to see a full picture of their customer’s experience. Although AfterWords already had integrations with the most popular POS, ERP, and CRM software solutions, it needed a way to get data from older legacy systems and they were able to accomplish that with the Epson OMS Cloud platform.

“We are very pleased to leverage Epson’s OMS to deliver our patent pending real-time transactional guest surveys,” said Drew Peloubet, CEO of AfterWords. “The Epson OMS Cloud has provided AfterWords with a quick way to integrate with retail and restaurant software platforms and allows us to acquire data from legacy systems that do not provide APIs for POS integration. The Epson Cloud makes data gathering simple and our partnership is destined to disrupt the survey industry.”

“AfterWords offers a superb business intelligence solution to gauge customer feedback and improve a company’s success,” said Gregg Brunnick, director of product management for POS printers, Epson America Inc. “Our joint solution enables data integration from multiple POS sources allowing AfterWords to provide actionable insights used to pinpoint areas for improvement and increase customer satisfaction. We are very pleased to join forces with a company that has the expertise needed to make a notable impact on a merchant’s revenue stream.”

About OMS
Epson’s OMS platform addresses the fundamental market challenge of disparate POS solutions and the lack of a common data language in the industry. Epson’s intelligent receipt printers provide a data gateway which drives cloud and mobile solutions to manage inventory, staffing, loss prevention, merchandising, logistics, analytics, loyalty, online ordering and more without having to worry about costly POS integration.
