Applebee's Offering Two Meals In One To Help Choosey Diners

For a limited time, Applebee’s is giving customers the opportunity to select two meals for the price of one, enabling customers who have a difficult time deciding to indulge in all of their cravings at an affordable cost.

According to a study conducted for Applebee’s by Toluna, a leading market research firm, on millennial customers, ages 18-29 years, results found that nearly half of the generation, 6 out of 10 men and 46 percent of women, experience pressure and stress when ordering at restaurants—asking for more time to decide or volunteering to order last. The Applebee’s Take Two is “The Choice for Those Who Can’t Choose.”

In order to please diners who have a difficult time deciding, Applebee’s is launching the Take Two special, combining two meals on one plate. Selections include the New Grilled Vidalia Onion Sirloin, a 4 oz. sirloin with grilled sweet onions, a sweet and spicy kick from the Hawaiian BBQ sauce, crunchy smashed potatoes and garlic spinach as the sides. Seasonal Berry And Spinach Salad includes a large portion of spinach leaves covered with fresh blueberries, strawberries, bleu cheese crumbles, seasoned grilled chicken breast, honey-glazed pecans, tossed in a sweet strawberry vinaigrette. The Margarita Queso Chicken meal features grilled chicken, blanketed in a cilantro lime glaze, atop of Mexican rice, white cheese, black beans and corn, topped with sliced avocado, chopped cilantro and a dash of lime. For shrimp lovers, the Shrimp Scampi Linguine includes tasty shrimp, grilled zucchini with pomodoro sauce layered on top of linguine noodles, mixed with a citrus scampi sauce, sprinkled with parmesan cheese and basil. For the price of $10.99, any one of these options can be paired with the Green Goddess Wedge Salad, an iceberg lettuce salad with Green Goddess dressing, covered with bacon, pecans, bleu cheese, parsley, and bacon. Or customers can choose two of the four options provided for the price of only $12.49.

Applebee’s is endorsing the Take Two special on TV ads and on social network sites, including pictures, engaging captions, and interaction with commenters through their Facebook page with more than 5,710,377 likes and 14,007,498 visits.

Also in celebration of summer, by ordering Pabst Blue Ribbon, customers have the opportunity to win free Pabst Blue Ribbon products during the Pabst’s 100 Days of Summer special, along with receiving exclusive deals on menu items during the warm weather season, through the new Applebee’s Tap Room mobile SMS program.
